Today I used my camera to picture some of the things I did, just to show a day in my life, but what I discovered was that I made sure I had something to do, just so I could take pictures of it.

Walk along the River Nethan

Walk along the River Nethan, on Tuesday 24th April 2012, the weather was good, but the clouds in the sky would not let the light through, but I was happy by the results.

See over on the right for more pictures from this day, River Nethan at the Kerse

Edinburgh Stall

Well the Edinburgh stall was well attended, but I never got a look in! It was Vintage stall event and that is not what i sell !
I was that keen to get into Edinburgh that I never payed attention to the event!
Well better luck next time, but I have a contact for as I would call it “main stream” type stalls in Edinburgh, but will have to think better this time,

cheers from Matt

DATE, TIME & SET UP

Our event will be re-named to include our amazing crafters and artists.

‘WHIMSICLE FASHION, ARTS and CRAFT FAIR’
Date: SUNDAY 4th MARCH
Venue: ‘CHURCH ON THE HILL’
TIME: 12am-5pm
Church on the Hill is situated South side of Glasgow and is close to the ‘Royal Victoria Hospital’. Another good landmark is the ‘Battlefield Monument’ which is right outside the venue! The address is as follows:

16 Algie Street
Glasgow
G41 3DJ

The doors open to shoppers at 12am and close at 5pm ! PLEASE ARRIVE NO LATER THAN 11.15am TO SET UP!

IT IS IMPORTANT THAT STALL HOLDERS UNDERSTAND, IT IS COMPULSORY TO STAY FOR THE FULL DURATION OF THE EVENT. LEAVING EARLY CAUSES DISRUPTION AND IS UNFAIR TO YOUR FELLOW STALL HOLDERS!!

If you have a wallpaper pasting table to take with you this would be ideal as its a good size and easy to transport. If you are struggling to get one, let me know. We have tables available for you to use at the venue but they are quite a bit smaller. We will supply chairs and tables is needed.

ADVERTISING

We have hired 2 PR’s who will be taking care of street posters, handing flyers out and flyering cars in the local and surrounding area. 1000 flyers and 100 posters will be circulated for this event.

We have also decided to post an advert in the Extra again, we did it for the Xmas Whimsy and it seems to be a successful way of getting people through the door! If you have any other ideas please do let us know.

Some of you have your own shops… if you don’t mind us dropping flyers off to you, that would be wonderful :)

ENTERTAINMENT

We are looking forward to the return of our live bands at this next whimsy :) This always sets a lovely atmosphere for shoppers and stall holders. The music will be background music so don’t worry… your ears are safe!

THE VENUE

We are in the process of getting quotes for big heater blowers, which we will DEFINITELY have at the March event. Looking forward to a warm cosy hall.
The hall is a massive space and has space for 58 stalls. If you have rails to take, please let us know so that we can allocate extra space for you!

Parking is free on a Sunday. The doors will open at 11.00am on the day of the event for set up! Please arrive no later than 11.15am!

The venue is stunning, big high ceilings with glass stained windows. The bar and restaurant downstairs will be in operation on the day… offering hot filled rolls for £1.50 to our stall holders on the day.

BOOKING DETAILS FOR SUN MARCH 4th BOOKING 2012 :)

Please let us know ASAP as spaces filling fast. If you would like to have a look at our pictures from our prev fairs…
